Role Overview
Oversee quality inspection, laboratory testing, and international compliance for our export spice processing and vegetable dehydration plants in Rajkot, Gujarat. Ensure every consignment meets rigorous pesticide residue (MRL), aflatoxin, microbial, and moisture specifications for USA, EU, and Asian markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct batch-level quality audits, physical inspection, moisture testing, and organoleptic evaluation
- Coordinate with NABL-accredited third-party labs (SGS, Eurofins, Geo-Chem) for MRL and microbiological analysis
- Maintain ISO 22000, HACCP, FSSAI, APEDA, and Halal/Kosher standard operating procedures
- Lead factory hygiene standards, pest control monitoring, and traceability records
- Investigate customer feedback and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
Qualifications & Experience
- B.Sc / M.Sc / B.Tech in Food Technology, Microbiology, Chemistry, or Agricultural Science
- 2+ years experience in quality control at a spice processing or food export facility
- Thorough understanding of HACCP, GMP, and global food import standards
- Strong analytical mindset and laboratory equipment handling skills
