Role Overview
Gir Company is seeking an organized International Logistics & Documentation Specialist to manage ocean freight shipments, port clearances (Mundra & Pipavav), customs compliance, and certificate issuance (APEDA, FSSAI, COO, Phytosanitary, Fumigation).
Key Responsibilities
- Liaise with shipping lines, freight forwarders, and CHA partners for timely container booking and vessel tracking
- Prepare, verify, and dispatch error-free shipping documentation (Bill of Lading, Commercial Invoice, Packing List, Certificate of Origin, Phyto)
- Handle bank document submissions under Letter of Credit (LC) and DP/DA terms
- Coordinate with factory operations in Rajkot for stuffing inspection and container dispatch schedules
- Resolve customs queries and optimize ocean freight routes
Qualifications & Experience
- Graduate degree with diploma/certification in Logistics or Export-Import Management
- 2+ years of hands-on experience handling export documentation for agricultural commodities or food items
- Familiarity with ICEGATE, DGFT portal, APEDA, and banking LC compliance
- Meticulous attention to detail and strong spreadsheet/ERP proficiency
